Kipkul is a smart module that attaches to any existing collar via a silicone case. It monitors physiological and environmental signals continuously and communicates with a mobile app that turns raw data into clear health scores, trend analysis and actionable alerts. It's designed for the mass consumer market — no veterinary training needed.
Seven sensors built in: body temperature for individual heat deviation, ambient temperature and humidity for heat-index calculation, an accelerometer/IMU for activity and rest pattern detection, respiratory rate (RPM) as a primary wellness signal, heart rate (BPM) as a physiological health indicator, and GPS with LTE-M cellular for real-time location and geofencing.
The module is compact (approximately 3 × 6.5 cm), up to 50% smaller than most current trackers, fully waterproof for daily outdoor use, and attaches via a silicone sleeve compatible with most medium and large breed collars. An integrated LED light improves nighttime visibility. Target battery life is up to 10 days.
Target battery life is up to 10 days of continuous monitoring per charge. We chose LTE-M cellular connectivity specifically because it consumes significantly less power than standard LTE while offering better indoor and urban penetration — critical for achieving the 10-day target without compromising continuous health monitoring.
Kipkul attaches to any existing dog collar via a silicone sleeve. The sleeve is compatible with most medium and large breed collars and supports a personalization line of interchangeable cases. You don't need to buy a special Kipkul collar.
Kipkul is designed for the full population. Brachycephalic breeds like Bulldogs, Pugs and French Bulldogs face elevated thermal risk due to restricted airways. Older, overweight or medically compromised dogs face higher risk across all conditions. Breed, age and medical history are calibration inputs in onboarding so the system adapts to each individual.
Setup takes about 5 minutes. You download the Kipkul app, answer 12 onboarding questions covering age, breed, coat type, weight, conditions and lifestyle, then attach the module to your dog's collar. The first 5 days run in calibration mode — the device learns your dog's baseline. From day 6 onward, the full algorithm suite activates with a complete personalized profile.
During onboarding you answer 12 questions covering age, breed, coat type, weight, reproductive status, habitual activity level, medical conditions, mobility, energy and living environment. The system uses these to calculate personalized targets before the collar is worn. The first 5 days run in calibration mode, establishing individual baselines for temperature and respiratory rate. From day 6, the full algorithm activates — and the baseline keeps refining as your dog wears the device.
The app delivers clear, actionable alerts with concrete next steps. For heat deviations, it may prompt you to move your dog to shade and offer water immediately. For sustained sleep quality drops over several days, it may recommend a vet visit. The system avoids vague warnings — every alert includes specific actions you can take.
The Heat Score monitors thermal risk in real time by comparing your dog's body temperature against their individual baseline (not population averages) and combining it with ambient temperature and humidity for a true heat-index calculation. Heat strokes develop in minutes; early detection of deviation gives you time to act.
Kipkul is a preventive wellness tool, not a diagnostic device. It does not diagnose conditions or replace veterinary judgment. Its clinical value is in detecting early deviations that warrant professional attention — reducing the likelihood that you arrive at the clinic with your dog already in an advanced stage of a problem. Diagnosis remains the responsibility of your vet.
The Kipkul app is free to download. To use the device you need an active Kipkul Premium subscription, which activates Health Score, Heat Score, Sleep Score, Activity Score, trend history, personalized action steps and geofencing alerts. A 14-day free trial of Premium is included with every device.
Kipkul Premium unlocks: Heat Score (real-time thermal risk), Sleep Score (rest quality vs. baseline), Activity Score (daily movement vs. personalized target), Health Score (combined weekly indicator), trend history, personalized action steps, real-time GPS location, configurable geofencing alerts, and shared access for family members. All plans include the full feature set — only the number of devices/dogs varies.
Every Kipkul device activates with a 14-day free trial of Premium — full access to every feature including health scores, GPS, geofencing and trend analysis. After the trial, an active paid subscription is required to keep monitoring. There is no permanent free tier — the subscription is what makes the system improve over time for your dog.
Plans support 1, 2, 3 or 4 dogs on a single subscription. All dogs share the same household account and feature set — only the number of paired devices changes. You can invite family members as co-administrators or guest users for shared use.
Kickstarter is a crowdfunding platform where you pre-order products from emerging companies. You pledge an amount, funds are collected only if the campaign hits its goal, and the product ships once production is complete. The Kickstarter campaign launches mid-2026. After it closes, production begins immediately and the first shipment batch goes to backers. Exact shipping timelines will be confirmed when the campaign opens. Waitlist members receive a precise schedule before the campaign goes live.
We ship worldwide. The device uses LTE-M cellular connectivity which operates on existing networks globally, so Kipkul works the same in the U.S., Europe and most other countries. Shipping costs and timelines per region will be detailed in the Kickstarter campaign.

Your dog's health data is yours. We use it solely to build the individual baseline that makes Kipkul accurate over time, and to power the alerts and scores in the app. Data is never sold to third parties. You can export reports for your vet directly from the app, and request data deletion at any time.
